Interior Paint Designs
Selecting the wrong paint colors can ruin the best designed room. When you are looking for paint colors, be selective. Take a while to pick the proper color. Take full advantage of all of the tools that are provided for you by the paint store. Most paint stores carry stick on paint swatches or small vials of your chosen paint.
After selecting your paint color. Select neutral forms of your selected color. Think of the different colors on the larger color swatches. These colors may be presented at the paint store on a long color swatch.Choose a few shades darker and lighter. The swatch may show the same base color with different undertones.
Select a portion of your wall to experiment on. You can obtain swatches that stick on the wall or small samples of your final paint selections.
Paint or stick on your color swatches. Give your self at least forty eight hours to get accustomed to the new colors. If you still feel unsure about your chosen shade, choose that shade that is the most neutral. Neutral does not mean the lightest, or closest to beige.
How does the paint work with your current decor ? Ask the opinion of those who will share this room with you. Perhaps if you are going to compromise with a wall color you can get one very close to your final color selections.
When compromising always give the person you are compromising with two to three choices. Of course since you are presenting the colors to your spouse, roommates, or family member these are your personal final three picks.
