Give me some ideas on interior designs (Part 2)

After you have decided what style you love, decide what colors would work well in the space you are designing. Refer back to your journal that you wrote down your style choices. Write down what places you feel happiest. What tones and colors reflect those places and activities?

Perhaps your favorite place in the world is the beach. The sand is a great taupe brown, the water moves from shades of sea green to the clearest blue. The blue then disappears into the sky, and the clouds are the whitest white.

Colors that remind you of the beach are

Sand tones - Taupe, Cafe au lauit,

Water - jade, emerald, green, blue - green, and clearest blue

Sky - Lightest blue, White

Maybe you love sunsets spent with your spouse. The mystery of the sky is a piercing deep orange, against a background of blue. Where the sun meets the night sky there is a deep purple, the night time sky that is in the distance is a shimmering gray with highlights of silver.

Sun - Deepest Orange

Sky - Purple, Gray, Silver, Blue

What will this space of your home be used for? Perhaps this is a home office. Why not have a wall with the same color orange that is in your sunset? Orange represents creativity and success.

If you are desiging a mediation room, think of what colors will relax you.

Revisit the colors of the sky. Shades of blue represents understanding, healing, power, and knowledge. Most importantly blue represents heaven. What better room to meditate, pray, seek out God for yourself.  Closing your eyes in your tranquil blue room, and releasing all of the stress and worry of the day as you reach out to God. Imagine you are at the beach looking high above the clouds and into the heavens. You may feel the magnificence of the worlds around you. You may be looking out into the sea, and see nothing but clear blue water for miles around you.  You breathe deeply, and mediate, pray, and cleanse your mind from the worrisome thoughts of the day.

That may sound like a lot to fit into your current room with white stark walls, or a current color mistake.
