How to use fresh flowers and produce as fresh centerpieces.

Your home or office will always be brighter with something alive. Bring nature indoors with fresh cut flowers, apples, lemons,  or limes. Use flowers from the corner market to add something beautiful to your kitchen, bedroom, entryway, or bedroom. Walking into a room with highly scented flowers is a great way to ease stress and tension throughout your home. Here are 3 quick tips to help you keep fresh centerpieces in your home  year round.

Visit your local grocery store and ask them, when they reduce fresh flowers. Many larger department stores like Kroger, Publix, HEB, or Albertsons regularly reduce all perishable merchandise. The key to catching the sale is to know what day and time to visit the store. Ask the workers or management specifically about the flowers and fresh produce.

Take a trip to your local farmers markets or flower shop. Ask when you should come for reduced or slightly imperfect flowers and produce. Many vendors at the markets will appreciate seeing you at the end of the day. Since you have established a relationship with them, they may put certain flowers or fruit aside especially for you. Local produce is usually so much fresher than in the grocery store.

Most fresh flowers come with a little packet that you add to fresh water to keep the flowers alive longer. Always use this packet. Purchasing reduced flowers can last a full week.

Fresh fragrant produce can be displayed in beautiful clear bowls or vases. A good example is limes , lemons, or peaches. Peaches are extremely fragrant when they are ripe. If you are able to pick up a few why not showcase them, and enjoy their beautiful color and fragrance before you eat them. If you do not wish to eat the fruit that has been displayed for two or three days, simply clean it, chop, and freeze in a ziploc freezer bag .

Knowing when to shop for reduced flowers and produce can save you hundreds of dollars. Displaying any type of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables are a great way to decorate your kitchen and entertainment areas of your home. The produce section is a great place to look for ways to bring nature inside and serve more than one purpose.

Start blessing your home with beautiful fresh flowers and produce.
