Is there too much furniture in your bedroom design ?
Are you doing an interior room design that is not working out for you? Have you tried to arrange the furniture just right so that that things flow properly? Are you having a hard time opening drawers,closet doors, and navigating in the space? Here are some quick tips to help you with your design plans.
Closet doors - if you are in a room and the bed, or other furniture prevents you from opening the door comfortably,get rid of them. Take the doors off of the closet. Replace the doors with light weight sheers or opaque curtains hung on curtain rods.Invest in inexpensive organizers that will help you properly organize your clothes, shoes, accessories, and outerwear.
Nightstands If your bedroom walls seem to only comfortably allow room for one nightstand, you will have to give up something. Let one night stand and lamp stay there comfortably in the space. Or you can find two different nightstands that are shorter in length. You could sell your current pair on craigslist.org or on ebay to help offset the cost of new night stands.
Drawers - If your dressers look great but are bumping into your bed, change the style of the bed. You may be able to change to a bed frame that allows for more movement. Or you may be able to change the angle of the bed to allow a foot or so more walking room.If you have more than one set of dressers take one of them out of the room. Adjust the furniture in the room so that you can open the drawers completely. This extra drawer can be used in another room, or even in an entry way to store linens that may not fit in your linen closet. Place a n ice vase with real or plastic flowers.
TV stands, Television stands in the bedroom can take up a lot of valuable space that could be used differently. Think about mounting your televisions set on the wall. If it is not a flat screen, this can be done with mounting equipment. These are similar to what has been used for a years in the waiting areas of businesses. You can mount extra shelves to the wall for your dvd player, tivo, or other accessories.
